Back to the jewellery...
This gleaming necklace is made with some of my lampwork beads. They are clear glass and they were rolled in a green frit (frit is crushed up glass) which I then reduced in a propane-rich flame to give a subtle golden-coloured lustre to the surface.
I've teamed the lampwork beads with clear faceted Czech glass rondelles which are part-coated with a metallic copper finish, and antique copper plated round beads.
The beads are strung on strong, nylon-coated 49 strand stainless steel beading thread.
The small round beads and all other metal components are nickel safe brass with an antique copper plated finish.
The necklace measures about 19 1/2 inches long when unfastened. It does up with a lobster clasp.
The lampwork glass beads measure about 9mm diameter.
All lampwork glass beads are kiln annealed.
Presented in a cotton gift bag.
Note: Although I have captured the beads' colours as best as I can, different screen and monitor settings vary and as such the colours of the beads may appear slightly different in real life than they do on your computer or device. In particular, Apple devices tend to ramp up the reds so please bear this in mind when viewing beads that are red, pink, purple etc.
